IP Attorney (Telecommunications & Computer Networking)
Responsibilities: 
  • Utilize theoretical understanding and industry experience in the field of telecommunications and computer networking to analyze client software written in Java, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, PHP and/or C/C++ and computer hardware products to develop infringement arguments. 
  • Review technical publications relating to telecommunications systems and computer networking, and interview client engineers to develop infringement and validity arguments. 
  • Utilizing knowledge of FCC regulations in the telecommunications industry, advise clients and draft comments on regulatory issues, including infrastructure, billing, and accessibility. 
  • Research case law and draft memoranda related to FCC telecommunications infrastructure regulations, consumer privacy, and accessibility. 
Position may include additional duties that use the required skills. 
Requirements: 
  • Juris Doctor and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology. 
  • Experience working as a Software Engineer utilizing Java, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, PHP and C/C++ to develop software in the areas of telecommunications and computer networks. 
  • Experience reviewing telecom service level agreements to determine whether they comply with FCC regulations. 
  • Experience writing software code for telecommunications systems compliant with various FCC regulations, including billing and tax. 
  • Experience researching case law and drafting memoranda related to FCC telecommunications infrastructure regulations, consumer privacy, and accessibility. 
Must have legal authority to work in the United States.
