Fugro USA Land, Inc. in Walnut Creek, CA is interested in hiring a senior staff professional, who is a registered engineer, who manages and conducts major projects and pursuits from a commercial and technical perspective using independent actions and responsible judgment. They supervise groups of staff or independent business units utilizing Fugro's project management procedures and guidelines.

Salary Range - $110,000 - 140,000 per year

Job Responsibilities:

  • In a supervisory capacity, plan, develop, coordinate, and direct projects with a small staff of engineers and technicians.
  • Develop proposals and reports.
  • Ensure commitments to clients are met in budget, timeliness, and accuracy to maintain close relationships with clients throughout the project. Produce accurate and timely invoices with the ability to collect fees from clients in a prompt manner.
  • Mentor junior engineers with the purpose of professional development.
  • Assist in business development, recruitment, and hiring.
  • Effective verbal and written communicator with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work as a Team Leader to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to competently and professionally present project materials in client meetings, including identifying and mitigating client concerns.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of writing for engineering documents and related legal terminology.
  • Effective client relationship management with a dedicated client base and proven ability to book annual revenue.
  • Exhibit ability to contribute to inventions, new designs, or techniques, which are of material significance in the solution of important problems.
  • Advanced knowledge of technology including standard office and engineering software and equipment.
  • Perform moderate work, occasionally exerting up to 50 pounds of force, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Daily activities include both field and office environments.
  • Some travel may be required, out-of-possible long-term town assignments.
  • Possible international travel/assignments may be required.

Job Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Be a registered and licensed Professional Engineer(P.E.).
  • Possess an excellent understanding and knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering and related disciplines.
  • Possess an overall understanding of technical requirements and field data acquisition procedures.
  • Must be proficient in the use of software for communication, project management, and technical analysis.
  • Possess or able to obtain a valid U.S. passport.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
