Job Title: Senior Revenue Recognition Analyst
Location (Hybrid): Dayton, OH; Westminster, CO; Sunnyvale, CA
Essential Responsibilities
Provide Technical Revenue Accounting guidance to the organization
Have in-depth knowledge of revenue and cost relationships, able to lead business partners in identifying direct margin, gross margin, and cost issues
Lead revenue integration for new acquisitions in the business areas, including order to cash, contractual terms and conditions, marketing/roadmaps, and customer relationships on future deliverables. Function as a key and independent business partner to the divisional finance controller and senior sales executive on matters impacting Revenue Recognition and the order-to-revenue process.
Independently review, analyze and interpret contracts to render optimum revenue recognition accounting advice and draft the corresponding required accounting memos/whitepaper
Assist sales team and lead in structuring unique transactions and sales programs while satisfying GAAP requirements for revenue recognition
Work independently with Business Areas Controllers and Management to provide the necessary revenue information and help implement best practices to support the revenue recognition and the order to cash process
Provide input that will help drive process efficiencies for the order-to-cash process
For the relevant business areas, take ownership of revenue internal controls procedures and ensure compliance within the SOX 404 framework
Help coordinate quarterly and annual audit requirements
Work with IT and revenue accounting/analytics group on improving the back-end revenue recognition process
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a related finance, accounting, or related field
AND 5+ years of general accounting knowledge which should be inclusive of balance sheet and profit loss financial reporting
AND in-depth experience in the application of ASC 606 with 5+ years of experience in the detailed review of revenue transactions
OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
Good general knowledge of US GAAP
Basic understanding of intercompany, cost allocation, and acquisition accounting
Advanced skills in Excel/spreadsheet modeling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to influence and negotiate with others
Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to partner effectively with all levels of management

Experience with ASC 340-40
Salesforce, Oracle 11i, Revpro, BI experience
