Job Description

No matter your project or industry, understanding the Earth is key. Why? Because it's risky to build sound structures without full knowledge of the ground conditions at your site. That's why geological and geophysical surveys are key. From mapping to modeling, onshore to offshore, we capture all the information you need about your project site. This way, we help you reduce risks, and stay on schedule, and within budget. Preferring a tailored approach, we work closely with you to make sure you fully understand the conditions at your specific site.

The Project Geologist will work with limited supervision on geological and geotechnical projects of average to high difficulty, with work being reviewed in detail by senior and principal geologists. This individual will manage smaller projects and assist in business development and proposal presentation. The work will focus on engineering geology, geologic hazards assessment, and site characterization for various infrastructure projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of projects and other operational tasks.
  • Work in field, laboratory, and office environments
  • Develop and adhere to reasonable project schedules and deadlines.

  • Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze field and laboratory data.
  • Participate in designing, implementing, and supervising field exploration programs and detailed site characterization studies.
  • Participate in the development of the scope of work, cost estimate, and procurement of subcontractors.
  • Analyze geologic data and develop reasonable conclusions and recommendations.
  • Help develop project opportunities.

Job Requirements:

  • Individuals must possess an understanding and knowledge of geology, engineering geology, and related disciplines, and must be able to research and assess the geology of project sites.
