Job Description:

MCHP Yield Enhancement Team is looking for New College Graduates to our San Jose YE team! The main responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Monitor the probe yield trends as well as Etest/WAT test results on the regular basis. Define and drive yield enhancement/improvement projects.
  • Using Yield Analysis Model Yp/DD concept to analyze production line yields and monitor if any defect-induced excursion events occurred.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal teams about design & product/test specs and identify technology marginalities while mitigating CIP solutions at production stage.
  • Strong data analysis and report editing/summarizing skill from massive amount of data.
  • Working with foundry engineers to identify/eliminate defect source; designing and executing DOE experiments; interpreting and extracting data results and implement solutions.
  • Performing FA tasks in the engineering lab when production low yields occur to identify root causes in a timely manner.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years of work experience
  • BSEE
  • Basic CMOS semiconductor process/device knowledge w/ certain degree of basic semiconductor or SiGe/SiC product knowledge preferred.
  • Strong data analytical skill with deep understanding of Applied Statistics as well as basic knowledge about Semiconductor Yield Analysis Model.
  • Strong Yield Enhancement passion to filter out yield problems, performing basic FA, then propose solutions. Semiconductor corporate intern process/product/testing or even QC Intern experiences are much appreciated.
  • Knowledge & able to do some coding on Visual Basic, Perl, Python, JMP to analyze data from raw datalog and create report.
  • Team player and facilitator. Works collaboratively with other internal/external teams and role models collaboration.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in California, is $66,560 - $128,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
