Job Description
Job Responsibilities
  • Schedule, direct, and monitor software/test design activities to ensure the project is accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget
  • Architect, design, implement, verify, and support complex software/test automation systems
  • Accept technical responsibility for the project and staff working on the project
  • Work in cross functional teams throughout our organization
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the product or service
  • Clearly communicate and present designs and tradeoffs to development/testing team, customers, and potential customers
  • Support internal and external customers
  • May visit customer site to provide support
  • Offer mentorship and Technical guidance for junior engineers
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a B.S or Master's in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineeringor related field; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent experience
  • Analytical approach to root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • 10+ years of experience in embedded firmware architecture and development on designs with multiple analog and digital I/O capabilities, DSP and microcontrollers.
  • Expert in C/C++, QNX or other RTOS
  • Experience in Python,EtherCAT, C#
  • Should have experience working on QNX, Should have written resource managers and devctls in QNX, or other Posix based RTOS
  • Experience developing board support packages (BSPs) for custom hardware.
  • Deep expertise in Embedded Firmware development, SW/HW/FW architecture partitioning
  • Must be well versed in communications protocols (SPI, I2C, Ethernet, RS232)
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing: FFT, FIR, IIR

Salary and Benefits

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position:$134,000.00-$289,000.00

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
