Efficiency Specialist, Critical Facilities

Job Summary

The Efficiency Specialist reviews data center facilities operations and makes recommendations for energy efficiency. This position will have responsibility for all data center locations in the West (Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Seattle, Silicon Valley, and Los Angeles metros), some travel may be required (10% or less), home office will be in Silicon Valley.

Responsibilities

  • Physically walk the data centers

  • Review facility sequence of operation, analyze system performance, and recommend changes

  • Compile energy efficiency data, review trends to assess effectiveness of actions that have been taken and make recommendations for future actions

  • Develop and maintain 5 year plan including relevant SOWs

  • Maintain ISO 50001 energy certifications

  • Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action

  • Collaborates across multi-functional and cross geographical teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience demonstrating expert-level understanding of HVAC equipment operation in a mission critical environment

  • Hands on maintenance and/or operation of chilled water plants experience preferred

  • Prior experience as a critical facilities engineer strongly preferred

  • Working knowledge of control systems

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

  • San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $128,000 to $211,000 per year


Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
