Director, Networking and Security Partner Product Management

Role Overview:

The Equinix Digital Services Partnerships and Ecosystem Strategy team is seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of Product Management to develop and lead the networking and security partner product development efforts playing a pivotal role in shaping our partnership strategy, driving product innovation, and delivering exceptional value to our customers.

This individual will have a deep understanding and experience in cloud infrastructure and services, networking, and security ecosystem technologies, building successful partnerships, with a strong ability to drive collaboration between cross-functional product and engineering teams.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP, Partnerships and Ecosystem Strategy Digital Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the Networking and Security partner ecosystem

  • Identify and evaluate potential technology partners that align with our product roadmap and address any product gaps

  • Lead the creation of business cases for partnership opportunities, showcasing the potential benefits, ROI, and strategic alignment

  • Create and develop new use cases and product features in collaboration with technology partners to enhance the value proposition of our products

  • Negotiate and establish partnership agreements, outlining terms, objectives, and mutual expectations

  • Project manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive them to successful outcomes

  • Drive the success of partnerships by effectively managing solution development, including regular communication, joint planning, and goal tracking

  • Collaborate closely with product teams to understand partner products' technical aspects and ensure seamless integration with our offerings

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure joint product development and roadmap alignment, fostering innovation and differentiation in the market

  • Monitor and assess partner performance, tracking key metrics and outcomes to ensure alignment with goals and objectives

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to identify new partnership opportunities and keep our products competitive

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in product management, business development, or partnership management in the storage and data ecosystem domain

  • Proven track record of successfully identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic technology partnerships

  • Experience creating business cases and ROI analysis for partnership opportunities and developing new use cases and product features in collaboration with technology partners

  • Experience presenting to executive stakeholders

  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure services networking and security ecosystem technologies, market trends, and customer needs

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess market opportunities, analyze data, and make informed decisions

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

  • San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $179,000 to $304,000 per year

  • California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $172,000 to $293,000 per year

  • Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $159,000 to $271,000 per year


Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
