Located in the beautiful Bay Area, the practice is seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to join the team. With the potential for practice ownership in the future, this role offers the chance to make a long-term impact and contribute to the thriving community while providing exceptional eye care services.

Why join us?

Moderne Eye Optometry, established in 1993, has proudly served the North Oakland community and the vibrant Rockridge neighborhood for over three decades. As a small boutique practice, the professionals prioritize providing exceptional quality care and products to valued patients. The practice has fostered enduring and trusting relationships with its clientele throughout the years, earning a reputation as a reliable and compassionate eye care provider. With a mission to ensure optimal vision and eye health, this practice remains a trusted and dedicated partner in the community's well-being.

What you'll do:

In this exciting role, you'll have the rewarding opportunity to provide exceptional care to the loyal patient base. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of optometric services, including primary eye care, glaucoma management, and fitting and prescribing contact lenses. Initially, your work hours are 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. every Saturday, allowing you to establish rapport with patients and contribute to their vision and eye health needs. As you settle into the position, there will be an opportunity to expand to three days a week, further strengthening your presence in the practice. One of the notable aspects of this role is the access to state-of-the-art technology, enabling you to provide the highest level of care. The practice offers advanced equipment such as the Haag Streit Slitlamp Camera, Optovue Angiovue OCT, Compass Visual Field Tester, DRS PLUS Fundus Camera, Wireless BIO, and a variety of fundus lenses.

Who we're seeking:
You're an Associate Optometrist who embodies the practice's commitment to understanding and addressing the unique vision health needs of each patient. Working alongside a team of dedicated doctors, you'll collaborate to nurture and safeguard the visual health of individuals in the community. A key aspect of this role involves utilizing optical services aimed at optimizing visual performance through the prescription of advanced digital lens designs. By staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field, you'll ensure that patients receive the most cutting-edge and tailored eyewear solutions to enhance their visual experience. Additionally, you will play a vital role in supporting the potential implementation of cloud-based electronic health records software, streamlining patient care and improving overall practice efficiency. As one of the current Optometrists will be retiring in a year, and the practice has plans to sell in about two years, the ideal candidate will not only bring their expertise and passion to patient care but also possess a forward-thinking mindset to navigate potential transitions and contribute to the long-term success of the practice.
