This position is eligible for Eskaton's health benefits package the first of the month following 60 days of employment and Paid Time Off benefits program after 90 days of employment.

Position Summary:

The Barista is responsible for the preparation and sale of menu items to be sold in the community's bistro cafe. Takes orders, processes customer's bills, and handles cash transactions. Maintains receipts and records. Responsible for maintaining inventory, reporting supply needs, storing, labeling and dating all leftovers. Maintains cleanliness of entire bistro area, including refrigerator/freezer, preparation area and eating area.

The starting salary for this position ranges from $22.19 to $27.33/hour.

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Prepares and sells bistro items, provides excellent customer service.
  • Handles cash transactions, maintains receipts.
  • Maintains inventory for bistro.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

Education:

High school education or vocational training preferred.

Training and Experience:

One to two years experience working as a Cook Assistant or similar position, restaurant background preferred. All staff that provide direct care to residents will have current first aid training.

Job Knowledge:

Must have a good knowledge of coffee and sandwich preparation and presentation.

The final candidate must successfully pass Eskaton's post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, COVID test, TB screen test and health screen.
