Conflicts Assistant
Cooley is seeking a Conflicts Assistant to join the Business Intake and Conflicts team.
This position works standard US west coast business hours.
Position summary: The business intake and conflicts function is essential to the Firm's (1) compliance with (a) ethical obligations prevailing in jurisdictions in which the Firm maintains offices and in which it practices and (b) the firm's Risk Management policies and procedures, (2) avoidance of malpractice claims and ethical violations, and (3) ability to process all attorney lateral hire, paralegal and staff conflict submissions in a timely fashion.
The BIC Conflicts Assistant (Laterals) will focus on day-to-day operations for processing all lateral intake and conflicts and will create comprehensive conflicts reports for analysis, working under the supervision of the Associate Director of Conflicts. The reports that the Conflicts Assistants create are key in identifying conflicts and are an important tool for the Conflicts Analysts, Conflict Staff Attorneys and Department leadership when resolving and clearing all candidates. The expected hourly pay range for this position is $23.00 - $33.00/hour. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
