Overview

Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Senior Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis, will lead the financial planning and forecasting process, including the annual operating budget and ad-hoc financial forecasts. The Senior Manager will own the development and continuous improvement of revenue and expense forecast model, and related processes, systems and tools, such as regular review and update of data models. As a thought-partner to the CFO the Senior Manager will lend support in the evaluation of strategic initiatives and other enterprise priorities, scenario planning and risk assessment, which includes but not limited to developing advanced financial modeling and analysis and conducting competitive research and due diligence. As a business partner to multiple departments across the agency, the Senior Manager will support senior leaders of the agency in connecting data to decision making and financial performance evaluation.

This is a full time, benefit eligible position in Berkeley, CA.

Benefits

Responsibilities
    Develop and implement best-in-class FP&A processes, procedures and new technologies
  • Identify information gaps and bridge gaps through process design, and transformation as it relates to financial analytics, including development and maintenance of knowledge base of financial benchmarks and comparable KPIs relevant to FQHC sector
  • Provide leadership, or support, in researching and implementing new technologies for finance operations
  • Prepare reports for key stakeholders based on financial data
  • Build and/or maintain budget and forecast templates for use by managers
  • Create ad hoc templates, reports and analyses for use by managers to evaluate their programs/departments
  • Evaluate current and previous financial data
  • Contribute to strategic discussions across the business
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Hire, train, supervise and conduct performance evaluation of financial planning staff
  • Manage all FP&A team deliverables
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of management consulting and/or business operations experience
  • Self-starter and a high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
  • BA degree in the quantitative field from an accredited university. MBA strongly preferred
  • Valuable work experience focused on strategy, managing stakeholders, driving a deliverable from beginning to end
  • Familiarity with Adaptive Insights and data management
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team player able to lead and work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
  • Detail and quality-oriented with the desire to quickly learn new concepts, business models, and technologies
