As an Engineering Manager for our product engineering teams, which consists of supporting the Adhesive, Strengthening, and Structural Steel product lines, you'll be a vital member of a vibrant and supportive community of engineers who take great pride in their work and uplift each other. With a wide range of expertise and experience, you'll be tasked with leading the development and support of a comprehensive strategy for product development and support to align with our overarching business goals.

Your leadership will be essential in guiding cross-functional teams in discovering new opportunities for product innovation and support. Overseeing the lifecycle of our new and existing products, you'll act as the cornerstone, providing invaluable technical guidance and unwavering support to our Product Engineers.

Collaboration will be at the core of your approach as you build strong partnerships with our branches, technical staff, field engineers, product management, marketing, quality, sourcing, manufacturing, and other departments that are crucial in the product development journey. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time)

Prioritize, manage, and support the efforts of the Product Engineering team, which consists of adhesive anchoring, strengthening, and structural steel products. Ensure that your team's resources can facilitate the many requests for product support from Branches, manufacturing, product management, and all other departments. (35%)

Work with the Director of Engineering to develop short- and long-term goals to successfully implement and achieve the department and company strategy (35%),

Support the Director of Engineering for continuous improvements in the engineering process (10%).

Provide leadership and mentoring for team members by providing feedback, coaching, and building the overall team capabilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: interviewing, hiring, and training new employees, establishing a vision, planning, assigning, and directing work. (10%)

Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to create an agile team that fosters cross functional collaboration (5%)

Work closely with Branch Engineering Directors to provide necessary engineering support of product lines that have been launched in adhesive, strengthening and structural steel (5%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A civil, structural, or architectural engineering bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong seismic design experience in concrete and structural steel.
  • Professionally Licensed Civil or Structural desired.
  • Advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) optional.
  • 10 years of engineering experience with familiarity with various construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Communications: Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public in oral and written forms.
  • Analysis / Reasoning: Ability to make sound engineering judgments.
  • Creative & Innovative Thinking: Ability to be creative and innovative when contributing to organizational and individual objectives.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job requires 15% domestic travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, exempt position is located in Pleasanton, CA and is open to remote.

RELOCATION

Relocation will not be considered for this position.

PAY

$102300 - $165700 / year

* Posted pay range is based upon national average and may vary depending on geographical work location.
