Business Continuity Analyst is needed for a contract opportunity for our Entertainment client located in San Mateo, CA.

Job Details
Duration: 12 Month (Possibility to extend)
Location: San Mateo, CA
Schedule: Hybrid (once a week or every 2 weeks) - San Mateo,CA
Hourly Pay rate: $50-$58.58/hourly

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the BC Sr. Manager to develop and maintain comprehensive BC plans aligned with overall resiliency goals.
  • Support the analysis of critical business processes, key resource requirements, and recovery strategies to minimize operational downtime impacts during disruptions.
  • Contribute to the coordination of regular testing and drills to validate the effectiveness of BC plans.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on BC procedures and protocols.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of documentation related to BC processes and procedures (presentations, dashboards, policies, procedures, recovery plans).
  • With direction from the Business Continuity Sr. Manager, lead configuration and enhancement efforts for the BC planning software.
  • Assist in the coordination with IT and network staff to develop and implement best practices to protect and restore data and systems in the event of natural disasters, viruses, and hackers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization's overall resilience posture.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent strategic, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, showing initiative and responsibility in handling assigned tasks.
  • Strong writing, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with relational databases and scripting and/or desire to learn.
  • Ability to maintain order and coherence in documentation, project-related materials, and scheduling.

Education and Experience:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred
  • Background in Business Continuity, Organizational Resilience, or Disaster Recovery
  • Familiarity with basic programming logic or scripting
  • Familiarity with technical IT hardware
