City Experiences is seeking a Captain for our operation in San Francisco / Berkeley

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

Successful candidates must have 1 year of recent experience as a Captain. Our employees have public contact, therefore we are looking for candidates who take pride in their appearance, have superb customer service, and communication skills. A flexible schedule is a must as it includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. The candidate must submit to a comprehensive background check as well as pre-employment, and random drug testing as required by the United States Coast Guard.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operates company vessels legally and safely

  • Supervisor onboard crew

  • Enforces crew and passenger safety

  • Administrative duties including, computer work, and some cash handling

  • Filling out shipboard logs, and reports

  • Conduct crew training, drills, and exercises

  • Participates in USCG inspections

  • Harbor Tour Narration / make announcements over PA system

  • Verifies the vessels have been properly secured after sailing

  • Additional job duties assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 3 years recent experience
  • High School or equivalence
  • Master 100 ton license
  • FCC License
  • TWIC
  • First Aid / CPR
  • Great customer service
  • Desired endorsements: Lifeboatman, Firefighting, STCW, Able Bodied Seaman
