Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will support duties and responsibilities in the Accounts Receivable Department. Duties such as, assisting the A/R manager with leading and planning the billing operations. The individual will aide in designing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining effective billing processes across multiple divisions. This position will support other departments in the billing process, as well as resolve complex billing issues. The individual will perform Accounts Receivable duties and responsibilities, such as, data entry of customer invoices, verification of data in our job master records and providing internal and external customer service to our operations departments and customers. Processing sales and use tax returns for several states as well as maintaining accurate sales tax rates and codes in our computer system. Assist in preparing and presenting Accounts Receivable and Billing training material. This position will perform additional Account Receivable duties as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Perform basic accounts receivable duties.
    • Data entry of accounts receivable invoices.
    • Compile and report Customer payment status on open invoices.
    • Create and maintain Customer Master Data and Sales/Use Tax Data records.
    • Process Sales and Use Tax returns.
    • Prepare journal entries.
    • Maintain up-to-date process documentation.
    • Create and Present training documentation.
    • Provide exceptional external and internal customer service.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • Preferred minimum of 3 years' Accounting experience.
  • Experience and proficiency with accounting and billing software (SAP or Oracle).
  • Strong knowledge and experience in filing Sales and Use taxes.
  • Preferred customer billing experience with SAP or Oracle software.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including listening skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstration of skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Ability to use standard office equipment.
  • JDE Enterprise One experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary $41,600-$50,000 / year
    • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
