Job Description

Our client is leveraging the latest in science and technologyto advance fertility and reproduction. They are expanding nationaly into new markets, and need a Corporate Controller to provide accurate and timely financial information to support key initiatives.

This position will report directly to the CFO.
This is a remote-first work environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Controller is a full-time position within the company that will lead the advancement of the accounting organization, systems, and processes to public company standards. It will initially be a very hands-on position that will be responsible for providing the traditional services of a fast-growing startup company accounting organization that will include the following:

  • Develop and implement of a plan for accounting systems and process advancement that maximizes efficiency and supports very timely and accurate monthly closes.
  • Upgrade and manage the monthly and quarterly close process including financial statement review with senior management to ensure integrity of the financial statements and compliance with GAAP.
  • Implement strong financial controls and new accounting standards ensuring the accounting, processes, and controls are accurate, effective, and efficient.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with current FASB and SEC pronouncements and communicate the business impact of adoption new accounting standards.
  • Provide of accounting advice throughout the organization, including those involved in the development of new business initiatives.
  • Oversee company's bank relationships, treasury, and tax management activities.
  • Complete timely annual financial audit.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate all other accounting operational functions.
  • Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
  • Coordinate and preparing internal and external financial statements.
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting including tax planning and compliance.
  • Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
