JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for driving the entire installation process of capital equipment and work in conjunction with all Henry Schein divisions that impact the installation process, to deliver a superior customer experience by planning and project managing the installation of capital equipment. Key performance elements include overall internal and external coordination and communication delivering high quality and efficient installations and achieving overall internal and external customer satisfaction. Manage center and off-site warehouse inventory and all regulatory-related requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall project management and installation of capital equipment for our customers from beginning to completion:
  • Responsible for all inventory within the region, including tool, van, equipment & center inventory to ensure auditing protocols are followed as required.
  • Accountable for the Equipment Planning Meetings (EPM) to provide updates to the team and customers on project progress and provide solutions to internal and external issues that arise.
  • Responsible to ensure the Primary Project Management Software is updated by themselves and all internal parties which includes taking project notes and pictures to ensure the system is current and contains the information required for an installation.
  • Select and manage Lead Technician and installation teams per project.
  • Daily management of installation project schedules and track daily progress.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all capital equipment installations; assign Lead Technician to meet with the sales representative and contractor at initial job site meeting and as needed; and monitors progress through job completion.
  • Confirm project job site readiness prior to HSD installation.
  • Coordinate equipment delivery details which includes but is not limited to: ensuring the construction site is ready; communication with all 3PLs; and ensures each delivery is correct.
  • Attends project kick-off and go live meetings and events as needed.
  • Provides documentation for disconnect and re-installation contracts to determine man hours and schedule technicians as needed for projects.
  • Partner with Service Manager for all region business needs to drive customer experience and overall KPI results.
  • Work with other Installation Managers to provide assistance when needed for installation projects.
  • Ensure all Install Service Technicians in the region are executing on corporate and strategic initiatives related to installation, safety, regulatory, security and compliance. This includes but is not limited to: regular co-travel and coaching sessions with technicians, and regular interaction with sales teams, customers and vendors. Work with sales and operations management to foster a team environment between sales and field installation.
  • Ensure technicians accurately and timely complete and close out work orders, RMAs, and technical training requirements.
  • Review, manage and approve all installation technician expense reports.
  • Manage and resolve TSM issues and concerns in a professional and diplomatic manner, supporting these issues with appropriate documentation and requesting the assistance of Human Resources when necessary. Recognize team members, hold technicians accountable, regularly coach and counsel technicians towards attaining performance and career goals and ensuring there is appropriate focus on high potential talent.
  • Manage the bi-annual van inventory process and effectively manage the tool inventory policy to hold their team accountable, including proper expense management and approval of install technician tools, ensuring adherence to all guidelines within the corporate tool policy.
  • Responsible for install technician onboarding, professional development planning, certification completion, and continued training in partnership with the National Training Team.
  • Attend all necessary industry meetings, customer meetings and corporate meetings as required by the business.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 7 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; first-level manager. Two years of Dental/Medical service/installation experience preferred or at least four years of team leadership experience. Two years of operational/service leadership experience and/or experience within the health care industry preferred.

The posted range for this position is $84,355-$147,622 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
