LifeLong Medical Care has an exciting opportunity for a nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team providing primary care services for our Respite Program in Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate must have a commitment to providing high quality primary care for complex patients and interest in working in a collaborative team model of care. The Medical Respite Program consists of four apartments with 15 bedrooms that surround a courtyard, and has a daily census of 27 individuals. The program provides integrated medical and care management services to homeless adults most of whom are recently discharged from hospital care. This position is short term position, respite facility providing 24/7 staff support.
Under general supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse, the Registered Nurse will provide direct support to the patients within the Medical Respite program. This includes the ability to implement and follow all the procedures of the Medical Respite program and support its strategies to strategies to improve health care delivery as the program grows. We are seeking Nurses with expert knowledge and skills in ambulatory care, medical, surgical knowledge and compassion for the homeless population.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW. Salaries and benefits are set by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA), and an employee in this position must remain a member in good standing of SEIU-UHW, as defined in the CBA.

Benefits:
Compensation: $82,000-$93,000/year DOE, stipend, excellent benefits: medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, dependent and domestic partner coverage, 403(b) retirement savings plan, loan repayment programs, and commuter benefits.
