Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will be responsible for the processing of satellite data into a variety of Maxar product offerings and will be able to adjust accordingly to assist various production teams with surging product demands. You will have a complete understanding of digital ortho map compilation and quality control as well as knowledge of photogrammetric, image processing, and GIS software. You will identify areas for improvement to increase overall efficiency and quality, as well as effectively communicate and collaborate with various teams around the company.

What you'll do day-to-day

  • Process orthomosaics with Maxar proprietary software
  • Gain thorough knowledge of Maxar production procedures and process methods
  • Ensure product offerings are meeting quality standards
  • Maintain organized metrics via spreadsheets or databases and be able to report on metrics accordingly
  • Collaborate with, assist other teams to meet quarterly revenue goals, and provide technical guidance and assistance to internal personnel, as required
  • Identify and occasionally develop improvements in efficiency, quality, and risk reduction

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, with current or ability to obtain U.S. government clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, geospatial, or related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Position is a first shift, typically 8-4 or 9-5 with some weekend rotation (about every 7 weeks)

These skills would be amazing

  • Complete understanding of digital ortho map compilation and quality control
  • Experience working with Image Processing/Remote Sensing software
  • Knowledge of a variety of operating systems including Windows and Linux
  • Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware problems
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with volume
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with the team, management, and internal customers
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment, with a strong work ethic
  • History of building positive relationships internally and externally

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$24.75 - $41.25 hourly.
