Job Title: Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Manager

Job Overview: Alliance Ground International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Manager. As the GSE Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient maintenance, operation, and strategic management of all ground support equipment. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability.

Responsibilities:

Management and Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the GSE maintenance team.
  • Set performance expectations and ensure the team meets operational goals.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of ground support equipment, including but not limited to baggage carts, belt loaders, and pushback tractors.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute long-term strategies for GSE fleet management and replacement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align GSE operations with overall airport objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Develop and manage the annual budget for the GSE department.
  • Implement cost-effective measures without compromising safety or reliability.
  • Monitor expenses and analyze variances to ensure financial goals are met.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with GSE equipment vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of parts and equipment.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay informed about aviation regulations and ensure GSE operations comply with all relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and participate in audits as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in GSE management or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong technical knowledge of ground support equipment and maintenance practices.
  • Previous leadership or managerial experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic airport environment.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
