The Gist

As a Transactional Buyer your role will be to provide support to the Procurement team. Here you will assist in delivering excellent customer service and key business processes by the application of business rules to transactions. You'll be an active member of the team and be able to deliver timely and efficient administrative duties. You'll need to be proactive in your delivery and adaptable in your working style to achieve a variety of tasks within the role.

It will be your responsibility to maintain documentation to enable effective delivery of team objectives - this will include reviewing Purchase requisitions, creating Purchase order, setting up vendors, maintaining mater data entries, maintaining and updating vendor pricelists outline agreements in SAP. Providing support in the entry, reporting of purchasing data and KPI. Vendor creation and maintenance. Important KPIs in this role are: PO compliancy (no retro Pos), PO Coverage, Vendor consolidation, Supplier Code and Shine compliancy. .

You'll need a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, changing organization but still be detail orientated with good organizational and time management skills. The ability to make timely decisions in line with agreed procedures and escalate as appropriate will be required. You'll also need some previous experience working in an administration / Procurement role will be expected along with excellent IT skills, particularly with SAP and Microsoft Office.

What You'll Do

  • Provide training sessions to promote the standard operating procedures/ STP/ SAP/ Basware.
  • Ensure the Purchase Requisitions (PRs) follow the Lagunitas compliance guidelines.
  • Provide timely support on inquiries related to Purchase Order (PO), connects the business owner with supplier and ensures the StP policy/ process is respected and followed up.
  • Offer support on system related matters (SAP/ Basware) and collaborate with the technical team to reach resolutions
  • Reporting cost- and cash saving initiatives in global tools (SNOW)
  • Demonstrates strong project management and stakeholder management skills. Build and sustain effective stakeholder relationship.
  • Act as an escalation point and Subject Matter Expert for the internal business as well as the external supplier.
  • Lead the supplier onboarding and supplier compliancy program (supplier code, shine, duns)
  • Report on procurement fundamentals (# suppliers, # PO, retro PO, Invoices with PO) and put measures in place to improve compliance scores and controls
  • Report yearly volumes required into Anaplan
  • Seeks for opportunities to divest and sell redundant assets, lead this process from start (business inquiry) to finish (signed bill of sale)
  • Support the Category Manager in updating price/ payments terms in SAP (outline agreement management)

What We're Lookin' For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business administration (preferred)
  • SAP experience/ Other ERP
  • relevant experience in a global environment in a similar position within Finance or Procurement
  • Proven experience with processing the Purchase Requisitions and POs as well as good understanding of vendor management
  • Passion for Lagunitas and the beer business.
  • Ability to lead change amongst a cross-functional group of executive-level and hourly colleagues.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills to enhance understanding of business performance and strategy.
  • Must be analytical, organized and efficient.
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods industry preferred.
  • Experience in MS Office
