Job Summary
The Field Unit Manager of Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Prevention (HEIP) is responsible for managing infection prevention activities in the clinical spaces at UCSF Health. Under the direction of the Director, and in coordination with the HEIP Medical Directors, the Manager provides clinical expertise, leadership, planning, organization and general management for the Field Team. Department Description
The Field Unit Manager of Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Prevention (HEIP) is responsible for managing infection prevention activities in the clinical spaces at UCSF Health. Under the direction of the Director, and in coordination with the HEIP Medical Directors, the Manager provides clinical expertise, leadership, planning, organizational and operational management for the Field Team. It is the Manager's responsibility to, among other specified duties, develop and implement the annual Infection Prevention plan; effect institutional readiness for responding to communicable diseases urgencies/emergencies, regulatory and accreditation surveys; publicly represent UCSF in institutional and public forums; recruit, hire, develop and retain excellent team members.
