- Utilize the Building Management System (BMS) to control Utilities equipment and systems including various steam, water purification, refrigeration, wastewater, compressed air/gas systems, and hazardous chemicals.
- Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, and various client organizations as necessary to minimize Manufacturing impact and insure equipment availability.
- Troubleshooting: Must be proficient in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical failures.
- Ensure that all systems including boilers, clean steam generators, water for injection stills, reverse osmosis units, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, waste water flows and associated equipment functions correctly.
- Respond to a wide range of mechanical and electrical problems and troubleshoot to repair.
- Document problems encountered and communicated these though work order systems, electronic mail, and voice systems.
- Perform inspections on all utility systems and associated equipment.
- Work with other trade skill sets to complete work orders to trade standards and customer expectations. Willing to continue both formal and informal training in the present skill set to maintain the knowledge of the present and latest technologies.
- Knowledge of air compressors, air dryers, reverse osmosis units, water distilling units, clean steam generators and the ability to trouble shoot and perform minor maintenance from written procedures in a GMP environment.
- Basic knowledge and use of hand tools.
- Support Maintenance Planner where needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned. Including, monitoring Jr Technicians to ensure all company policies/procedures and client SOPs are followed correctly. Report all concerns to C&W SERVICES mgmt. immediately.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES:
- Initiate the purchase of parts, materials, equipment, supplies etc., in accordance with company procedures and provide technical assistance when required to facilitate such purchases.
- The ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.

Education: Have completed an apprentice program and /or graduated from a certified trade's school.
Experience: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, internally and externally with clients.
- Experience with boilers and their associated steam delivery systems along with the automation controls that support them.
- Have worked in the trade skill set applying for, for a minimum of ten years.
- Candidate must have knowledge of the basic PC skills along with common applications associated with interoffice communication.
- Have the ability and willingness to work rotational shift, if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends and holidays as required.

- Expected to be on feet for 8 to 10 hours a day.
- May climb upwards of 6 flights of stairs a day to maneuver within the manufacturing facility.
