Detailed Description:

In this role you will support planning, design, and regulatory compliance projects related to water and wastewater. Our clients in Colorado, and specifically the Front Range, are continuing to experience growth and the need to upgrade their existing facilities. To support the growth, municipalities are expanding and rehabilitating their current infrastructure, resulting in new water/wastewater projects. Brown and Caldwell is currently engaged in many projects to support our clients that promise a variety of opportunities for this position.

Typical work areas might include:

  • Participate in water and wastewater planning and design projects involving engineering calculations, design, modeling, and report development
  • Participate in providing engineering services during construction for our projects
  • Provide Water Quality sampling (field work)
  • Data analysis and interpretation to support projects
  • Participate in client and internal meetings to advance project work and prepare meeting notes.
  • Prepare written reports and technical memorandums to document analyses and recommendations
  • Participate in work groups and organizations to benefit the company's knowledge of issues and to understand client needs.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Attending university working on a Master's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Environmental/Chemical Engineering or related engineering field required
  • EIT preferred or awaiting results, with desire to obtain a PE
  • Computer aided design experience with AutoCAD or similary platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Access, and data management
  • Strong written communication skills and experience producing technical reports
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $15.60 - $19.70 per hour and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
